I think that kids dont realize how much colleges look into this stuff. Plus, by posting comments about drinking or drugs it just makes it that much easier to get caught. Just so they can show off for their friends, which is stupid

Kids sometimes just want to get noticed i guess by friends, thats why they put their issues and things on myspace or facebook.

pauseplay92 I agree some kids dont know that colleges look at myspace and facebook pages and they may even reject you from entering. It is very stupid to put something illegal to show off for your friends.

I think that if kids knew how much colleges can find out obout them then they wouldn't mention alot of those things. Alot of them do it just so they can get attention which is stupid.

I think teenagers believe that they should be able to express themselvez anyway because it's their personal page. But wat they dont realize is dat it's not realli personal because it's on the internet for the world to see. and i dont think some teenagers think about that. if you dont want someone else knowing something, then maybe u shouldnt put in on the net.

Kids don't really think about things when they post stuff on the web. Also, not only do colleges but also employers look at facebook sites too, especially in the field of education.

TEENS SHOULDN'T REVEAL THEMSELVES ON THE INTERNET IT CAUSES A BIG RISK THAT COULD GET THEM HURT...THEY SHOULD ALSO THINK ABOUT THE STUFF THEY..CAUSE YOU REALLY DON'T KNOW WHO COULD BE LOOKING AT YOUR PAGE OR BOLGS.

P.S BE SMART AND THINK ABOUT YOUR SAFETY

I completely agree. I believe that kids don't realize that colleges and businesses actually look into that stuff. If you don't want someone to know everything about your life, then dont post it on the internet.

yea i think that that isnt right for a school to reject someone just because of there personal lives outside of school

I think people on myspace put there business out there so other people can feel sorry for them. Cause you see alot of people telling how bad there life sucks or whats goin on with there relationships. And lots of kids do use drugs or drink, and its just the ones that are dumb enough to put all the pics up and/or talk about it to everyone.

I agree. I don't think they realize that how many people can look at there profile even if you set it private. I think more kids should be more careful what they say or write about themselves.

A lot of teenagers in the world are trying to fit into their little groups. I don't think they realize how much easier it is to fit in if you're just being yourself. Eveybody posts things on myspace and facebook that they wouldn't post if they had some type of security. All they need is a little knowlege. Knowing what posting these types of things could do to you and knowing what types of problems it could cause makes all the difference.

I think teens fale to realize how college look into your past history and school.By posting what you did this weekend with your friends is stupid cause you not only making yourself look like a dummey but you making your friends look like one too.

Kids don't think when they post things. They dont realize how what you say when you are a teen could effect you as an adult. Colleges and businesses use the internet all the time to check students and employees.

Be smart with your posts online.
